Do you seek to improve yourself constantly? I'm very passionate about improving myself and I like learning new stuff whenever I can.

I also discovered that one of my passions is to help people grow and succeed in their areas of calling or strength. It is through continuous growth and self- improvement that we get the best from life.

There is a common phrase that says "if you stop learning you die"! how true that sounds.

There are always areas in our live's that need improvement and this is an on-going life process that has no end.

The human potential is absolutely limitless! How often do you focus on "you"? When is the last time you did a self-reflection and took some positive action?

Maybe none "no worries" this is a challenge I'm throwing at you. You will realize the more you grow, the more there is out there to be learned.

It's good to note that personal development will not prevent bad things from happening. Life has its share of challenges and some occurrences are beyond our control.

Personal growth equips you with skills of resilience, on how to cope and also how to develop a positive attitude to challenging situations.

As a strong advocate of personal development, I will list down some practical ways that you can apply to improve yourself, especially in this COVID 19 season.

You can become the best you can be and reach your fullest potential if you commit to it intentionally.

OK, then let's dive in:-

Commit to reading books

Books are great resources of wisdom. Do you desire to have wisdom? I'm sure you do. Then start investing in books and plan to read a book every month.

Different people have different specialization in all fields so you can learn as much as you desire from them.

The more you read the more you expose your brain to wisdom. I can recommend some great books I've read... Rich dad, poor dad, why the rich are getting richer, and grow and get rich. All those are great books with tons of knowledge that can change your life.

Identifying your Blind Spots

Blind spots can be referred to as areas of our weaknesses that we are not able to see. We all have some areas that are quite hidden but need improvement if we are aware of them.

One way of identifying your blind spots is to discover your triggers this means anything that makes you annoyed or affects you negatively. This can be referred to as your blind spots.

After discovering your blind-spots, you embark on steps of working on them.

Asking for Feedback

Naturally, human beings don't like to be criticized. However, much we avoid criticism we deny ourselves from growing. Always ask feedback from friends, colleagues and family.

Such people can be helpful and give you a better perspective of yourself because they can be genuine and objective. It does not feel good to get negative feedback but It does help us work on ourselves.

"Personal development is a major time-saver. The better you become, the less time it takes you to achieve your goals," -Brian Tracy

Waking up Early

It's very important to develop the habit of waking up early. The old-age proverb which says "the early bird catches the worm" has been coined by the benefits of an early riser.

Some benefits of waking up early are doing some exercises to keep your body physically fit, working on important projects when your brain is not clogged etc. Studies show that early risers are healthier, happier, and productive than their late counterparts.

Developing Resilience

Since life will throw all sorts of challenges when you least expect it, it's key to develop the innate ability to overcome all sorts of adversity.

Resilience is the ability to confront your problems and bouncing back from any kind of problem, it helps you to emerge stronger and wiser.

Learn the art of Effective Stress Management

You must learn how to manage stress effectively because stress will always present in life. You must find ways of relieving stress and fortunately, these modern days there is so much information on how to do so.

Find a way that suits you since everyone is unique.

Getting out of Your Comfort Zone

Growth comes through handwork and sweat. Nothing meaningful comes out of comfort zones. Comfort zones make you stagnate.

What's your comfort zone? Shake it off and do something different. Expose yourself to new territories and venture into the unfamiliar that will push you from the comfort zone. This is a challenge for most people because we enjoy familiar!

In Conclusion

The journey of personal growth is your responsibility. Commit to start a journey of self-growth if you have not, and you are reading this article.
