Learning the discipline of money is a challenge to most people and it's not in the amount, but what you do with it.

Most people get the opportunities to make money but lack the skills of a clear roadmap on what they want to do with their money. Successful people are clear; they want wealth and they set specific money goals.

Vague money goals heavy borrowing with poor payback plans drift many people in stressful situations. Mostly the underlying issue is a lack of financial discipline.

Another important aspect is to understand the basics of money. Get the education by reading books, blogs or consulting a personal finance expert to help you out. You will be surprised at the kind of savings and investments you can make with your "little " money. It just takes a change in habits.

Some Killer ways to guide you

1. Set Specific Goals

When your goals are clear it’s easier to make clever decisions. Ask yourself these three important questions;

  • How can I supplement my current income and how much do I need?

  • What are the strategies that I will use to get the extra amount?

  • How much time do I give myself towards the goal?

These are specific questions but make sure they are reasonable. With such a plan then think of the amount you would want to save, and make the investments you have always desired e.g. putting aside some money to buy a home. If you are not happy with your current situation "get mad" because this provokes you to do something different, despite the glaring setbacks you may have.

2. Time Management

How you spend your time will largely affect your finances, avoid time-wasters like excessive watching of television, chatting and browsing. Invest your time with learning new skills that will add to your finances.

Two or three extra hours of your time can make a tremendous difference if well spent. Be ready to make some sacrifice's like for example, you would carry a packed lunch, to work as opposed to buying your favourite meal in a restaurant.

3. Change Your Mind-Set

A mind is a powerful tool and it responds on how you program it. Change your negative words of "I can't" " It's difficult to make money nowadays" wealthy people are very arrogant. Alter these statements to" I will solve a problem and get paid. " Whenever I spot a setback I see it as an opportunity to make money. In this world, there is enough money for everyone.

When you compare the two sets of thinking a positive mind-set will easily attract the money. Negativity blocks the flow of thinking and making more money.

4. Take Calculated Risks

You have to embrace the courage to make more money, if you are too cautious it will be impossible to make more money. You need to build financial muscle gradually and increase building the muscles (financial) until you get strong enough to take higher challenges.

5. Take failure Positively

Failure is part of growth and a fear of it leads to stagnation. It's better to attempt and fail rather than putting no action at all. You need to put some action to get successful if not then; don't expect to succeed. Have an open mind-set that failure exists and if it occurs to you it will not break you.

In conclusion, it's possible to change your habits by applying the practical steps to change your financial life. Your habits have a large influence on your financial life.
