Do you intentionally seek to grow? If your answer is yes then this article will be very helpful. I am very passionate about self-growth and I like to help people to grow as well.

I share my thoughts in my blog urging people to seek growth and to take action. Learning is continuous in life and the more you embrace learning the much growth you experience.

Life is tough and you need skills to handle the challenges that life throws at you.

The fortunate thing is that you have limitless potential. So kick off the excuses.

1. Expose Yourself to knowledge

How often do you invest in books or even read a book? Books are wealth’s of knowledge, and the more you read the more you expose yourself to wisdom.

In this information age there so many places you can source for information. Public libraries the internet etc.

It’s amazing that people invest in clothes shoes and junk food; but not in a book! In Africa, we are known not to have a reading culture.

However, you can change this narrative and alter this as an individual. Feed your brain with information and place a strain on it, its potential is limitless!

2. Conquer Fear

We all have fears, ranging from fears of failure, loss of money and fear of the future. If you recognize that you have a certain fear, it’s an area where you need to grow.

For example, if you fear to risk(calculated) then success will an illusion. Address that fear by confronting it and taking necessary action.

3. Get Out of Your Comfort Zones

Do you have some routines that you are rigid to break? They make you comfortable but hinder growth. You need to do things differently or to interact with a new context. You always tend to grow in new circumstances.

Think of starting a new business that can supplement your salary or implement that idea you always procrastinate. Move to a new environment etc.

4. Take Action

Taking action to what you learn is what gets you immediate results. Without action, nothing happens. You can be stagnant yet have great knowledge, without action then it's futile. What is that thing that you what to do? Take action to it.

5. Identify Your Blind Spots

These are areas that we are unaware of ourselves. You can identify them by the feedback you get from different people.

Another way of identifying is by doing a personality test or a Johari window. (tools to identify the hidden self) What you are unaware of can’t be addressed.

Self-improvement equips you with the knowledge to expose the hidden you. After identifying then its easy to address the blindspots.

6. Get a Mentor

A mentor is a treasure with immense importance to your growth. A mentor has the expertise and knowledge you need. Walking with a good mentor will save you from pitfalls. A mentor helps you to attain your goals faster.

7. Commitment to Personal development

How willing are you to commit to this long life journey? Personal growth is your sole responsibility and you will need to intentionally commit.

You may not see the results immediately but I can assure you, if you keep at it you will experience positive change.

Self-improvement equals to taking action!
