I hope you are all keeping safe by social distancing sanitizing and wearing a mask.

I'm positive that this COVID-19 will soon be in our archives as I shared in my last article. Nothing should hold you back from your dreams or desires there is a way in tackling distractions in this Corona crisis.

I want to share some hepful tips on how to handle distractions in this crisis.

Planning Your Day Upfront

It works well to plan your day in the evening for the day to come, this saves on time and helps you to keep the focus on the important tasks.

Identify Your Prime Focus Time

What is the time that works well for you? Some people are early birds while others are night owls. If you need some extra focus on your work you need to identify when you are at your peak physically and mentally. You function better at your peak in energy levels and creative abilities.

Put Away Noise from Your Mind

Currently, there is so much negative noise all over. What works for you when your mind is cluttered? Personally l take some walks when my mind needs some refreshing.

Some it's jogging; whatever that works for you do it and get your mind in the right gear. You can practice meditation or silence for 10 minutes and then get moving.

Prioritize the Important Tasks

When you do this, you'll ensure that the important tasks are tackled and you will not be stressed on meeting your targets way ahead of time.

Avoid procrastination on the important stuff to enhance the quality of work done on a good time. Once you are done you'll realize you have some extra time to the'nice to do tasks'.

Learn to Say No

How often do you use that powerful word? I'm guessing not too often when it comes to working. Sometimes you will learn the discipline of putting aside invites and visitors to get focussed on your work.

Learn the hard truth to say no appropriately to get your work done and it will at times sound offensive to colleagues and friends. Learning to be assertive will help you a great deal.

Practice Makes Perfect

If you're used to been distracted it will take a while to unlearn and learn some new habits to keep the focus. You'll have to learn from the small gains you make daily towards becoming super-focussed.

Keep building on the small gains without getting discouraged till you become the envy of others. I personally, know from experience its possible to overcome distractions and remain focussed to push your desired goals that push your life further.

Learn, learn from any source online and offline in this crisis, let the available time be of value. Learn a new cooking skill, read a book, invest in your spiritual life. Just do anything that will add value and as the corona crisis exits, let it be a new dawn of better thinking and growth.

Seize the opportunities that are presenting themselves in this dark hour! Stay Safe.

Cheers

Let's have a conversation on this.....
